So the question is what could make my wireless connection in Windows Vista so different from a UTP connection. I'm thinking of some special security feature of Vista for wireless connections or could it be something on the server? The network share is part of a Windows 2003 server (no domain).

Everything works fine with Windows 2000/XP with roaming profiles in //PDC/user/profile (it even worked with 98 back when there was a few), but now I had to add a Vista Business laptop. This joined the domain with no real troubles, but it won't upload the user profile. It creates //PDC/user/profile.

VPN defaults domain
XP machine still works fine. Nothing has been changed on the VPN setups with my systems at work. Vista just tanked the functionality. I tried switching between public and private, restarting, disabling everything outside of Vista, and nothing lets the VPN work right. Everytime I connect now I connect with no errors
